Default 6 piece VXr grill kit.

Thanks to SRI_STU for pointing me in the right direction to end my deliberations on meshing the front of my facelift SRi (nav) Xp2.

I have ordered the 6 pc vxr honeycomb kit from Archie Moss this morning and given that I'm not as mobile as I used to be I asked them for a price to fit the whole thing.

You could have blown me over when I was told supplied and fitted £221. Only a bit more than a 2 piece stainless kit plus a pair of chrome fog surrounds to sit on my garage floor.

Well chuffed....... Another Flame Red VXr lookie likey.... on its way.

An excellent mod if you are fortunate enough to have XP2/VXR bumper. Got mine from Archie Moss last year Held off fitting as I have been waiting to get the VXR lower skirt, which I got a few weeks ago. It's away being painted with a primed Opel grill so all being well i'll be tinkering in April.

How much did the VXR lower skirt set you back if you don't mind me asking, I've got a XP2 and was thinking of it myself...

Hi... I havn't changed the front lower skirt from the one that was part of the Xp2 option on the Sri (nav).

I guess it is slighly different from the genuine VXr but its shape permits the fitting of the honeycomb grill set.

If your upper bumper has the long eyebrow above the fog lamp grill (see second picture in the 'VXR front' sticky near the top of this styling page) then I am assured the grill kit will fit regardless of the style of the lower skirt.

The proof of the pudding will come next thursday when the thing is going to be fitted.

    Watch out for the pics.

Just a note to add to my last post.

The first link is to a selection of pics of SRI_STU 's recently fitted VXr grill kit. Look at the design of the lower skirt.

The next link is to a thread showing pics of my front with a slightly different lower skirt. I don't think that either is the genuine VXr lower splitter but both will accept the VXr grill kit. The slight difference is where the bottom lip joins the lower grill's 'mouth'.

Both of these cars however have the main bumper with the extended 'eyebrows' above the foglight grill.

Hope this helps a bit more.
