car radio in safe mode

My radio is displaying "safe" i have entered the code several times but nothing seems to happen has anyone any ideas of how i can get my radio to work please????
i keep talking to myself on my journeys to and from work he he

I'd have to guess maybe you're not entering the code using the correct procedure?

The common one seems to be:
Ignition on... switch radio off..... press and hold AS and switch radio on... wait for beep.
After beep display shows something like 'Safe 10 - - - -'
Enter code using number buttons 1-4 to cycle through each number position - keep pressing button 1 until correct number is displayed in position 1..... then button 2, etc, etc until correct code is shown.
Press and hold AS until beep.... radio should then burst into life assuming correct code was entered.

If it's not a code entry problem there may be a communication fault between the head unit and the car ECU ie the car thinking it has the wrong head unit fitted.

Or its not the oe one so the code is incorrect?

thanks i just managed to get in on to safe 10 and i entered the code on the car pass though it failed so i tried it again and it failed again i then tried entering the code which says security code as before hand i was entering radio code????
still hasnt worked!!!!!
im left on safe7 now and my luck is running out!!!
i will try again in the morning because it wouldnt have any of it after the third failed attempt!!

Safe 10 means you need to wait longer before trying it again, but for it to count down you need to leave the ignition on.

Before you lock it for 24 hours, read the manual mate.

im a lady!!! not at all good with cars sorry, plus i didnt get a mannual when i bought it back last year .... so this place is my only hope.....

Safe 7 means its not going to let you enter a code for another 7 mins - 7 mins with the ignition on.

The more times you enter it wrong, the longer it makes you wait.

and i need to enter the second part???
