    Default permanant live by glove box ??

    is there a permanent live available in the fuse box by the glove box as i want to change my rear cig power socket to permanent power ??

    Otherwise ill have to run from the boot

    You should be able to take a pernament live off the battery,through the grommet behing the glove box (or if I remember correctly there is a permanant live somewhere behind the glovebox you can tap off)

    Normally, most people take their permanent supply from the rear electrical centre.

    See the how 2 for fitting a charge socket in the load area of a signum.
    Much shorter cable run to the rear charger / lighter socket in the centre armrest.

    Is there any reason why you'd prefer to go from the front dash, rather than the rear electrical centre, just behind the back seat (passenger side).

    Its just i can see a pathway to the cig lighter from the front via the handbrake and gearstick cover... from the boot iv got to get under the seat and the carpet and im not familiar with that pathway

    There are both always live and ignition controlled positions in the large fuse and relay box in the engine compartment. Just plug into an unused fuse position, but remember that only one side of the fuse position will be live as the fuse is used to bridge the space and transmitt the voltage on.
