    Smile Help me decide please

Can I get everyone's thoughts on what to do with my airbox on my 1.9 CDTi (150).

I'm trying to get as much out of the engine as possible (without damaging things ) and so far:

    - Restrictor plates on EGR
    - Straight through 'race tube' centre exhaust (being fitted next week)
    - Remap (Friday)

Now because it's a diesel I probably won't feel or see and extra power from the restrictor plates or 'race tube' but every little helps. Is it actually work de-CATing it as well? Will it be too noisey?

The next call is looking at the airbox, hence the poll: (Airbox already de-restricted)

    - Pipercross panel filter (sponge type)
    - K&N Panel filter (rigid mesh type)
    - Standard filter
    - Closed Ram induction kit (Simota or something similar)

Any views and thoughts on this are welcome.

    Thanks

Voted K&N as it's come out tops in lots of comparison tests done on here and I noticed an improvement when I changed from pipercross to K&N.

The only other type I would go for is a Dbilias unit from regal but they are not cheap..

    HI
dont know if this makes a differance with diesels
but dont you want the remap last after all the engine and exhaust mods are done.

You're not wrong mate but I've happened to do it the wrong way round already booked in that way unfortunately. I'll have to see what the results are by a rolling road
