Default Can I update the trim on an 04 Siggy 4-spoke wheel?

The four spoke wheel on my 04 Siggy Elite is looking pretty grubby and I was wondering if it's possible to change the stereo controls and the two lower spokes for something in a graphite finish as the rubber coating is peeling?

I've done a search and found some links to upgrading the three-spoke wheel with VXR bits but haven't seen anything on the four-spoke.

Looking to buy something off the shelf, rather than paint it myself.

    Cheer

Popped into the dealer (reluctantly) and he started by quoting me over £300 for a new wheel, which was not what I asked for and then told me replacements for the spoke trim would be around £76, which seems pricey for 4 x bits of plastic.

I couldn't get any details on the type of trim options available as he didn't seem to know and the computer was playing-up, so I gave up too and went home.

That rubber coating is totally pants, especially on the door handles and some other places too.

Why not get some carbon fibre style vinyl to cover your existing ones

Had thought about that but then figured the graphite finish to match the vents/dash would be a better bet, especially as it's an Elite with the orrible plastic wood. If only VX had gone for a brushed aluminium with the black leather.

Just flicking through an 03 Siggy brochure and noticed the Design trim has a three spoke wheel with the two upper spokes containing the buttons finished in a silver finish. Think I could live with that and leave the two bottom spokes as they are as they're pretty tidy anyway.

Might call a different dealer tomorrow and see if I can get anywhere as it's got to be easier if I'm just after the two upper bits.....and cheaper too.

Does the cover come away from the buttons or is it a single unit?

remove the whole assembly with a torx screw held on the rear
the cover can then be carefully popped off (ideal time to invest in the SMD colour mod as well) and you can then rub them down properly - pick the colour you want (in my case sapphire black to match the car ) and spray them - lacquer and rebuild and refit = job done - sit in the car and grin like the cheshire cat havig done the job for around a tenner
