Default Finally getting the Cambelt changed

My car gets picked up soon and will have the cambelt changed. I have kept putting it off but am now no longer enjoying driving with the nagging feeling that it could snap at any time! - I think finally I am willing to pay the 300 quid just so I can relax again! Shame though I can think of a million things I'd rather spend the money on!

A mechanic friend of mine is doing the work so I'm saving a few quid as Vauxhall wanted nearer £500 for the job!

Yep thats exactly it... I look at my bank balance and think it's either £300 now or a new car if it snaps...

hi i have a 3.2 v6 gsi and just had the cam belt changed at the cost of £295 from tony levoi at lakeside, but they forgot to do the engine mount up so every time i move of i was getting a banging sound, so went back for them to do the bolts up and watched the engine raise up around 3 inches .

Oh well, mine has been returned not done. He had a few jobs to do today and ran out of time, not wanting to rush the job he will reschedule with me. Thats the draw back with having it done on the cheap I guess!
