    confused Faulty power window switches

    Hiya all.

I've got a 2002 2.2 sri vectra c and in the year i've owned the car the power window switch on front passenger door has never been that brilliant, only working occasionally, until recently, now it won't work at all. In fact, the only button that does work that side is central locking and thats it. So now i'm having to resort to opening the window for my missus from the switches my side, which is fine.......but now the switches my side are starting to do the same and its hit and miss.....sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

In my opinion, the whole power window switches both sides (passenger & driver side) feel quite flimsy, unlike the switches in say a vectra b which felt a bit more robust.

What i would like to know is.....Does anybody else think the same?

Also is it just the switches that need replacing or is there a chance it could be electrical problem? (bearing in mind that the central locking and boot release buttons still work?)

Are the switches easy to replace and are they expensive?

Any information you could give me guys & girls would be appreciated. I've got a few niggles with me vectra at the mo and would like to get it sorted as the MOT is due in 7 weeks, plus i'm getting me ear bent every day virtually about it.....please help!!!!

    Thanx guys.

Had the same problem. But on the drivers door. Mirrors. Didn't work window stopped working so went and got a new switches to find the connecter had come lose. This might not be the answer to your problem but just have a look first. Oh and the switches felt better on the old veccy b

I've always losened the bottom half of the door car & pushed them out, i'm told you can just prise them out with a small flat driver.
