I wasn't aware the Vectra hada tilt sensor. No mention in the handbook or other blurb that's publically available.

I would also imagine the feed for the ultrasonics is separate otherwise all a thief would have to do is snip the interior light wire to disable them.

Yeah they have a tilt sensor all part of the alarm system. I Know the interior light and ultra sonics come down the same ribbon cable but if snipped it would go off as the car regualtes the voltage and a dip would set it off same way they cant disconnect battery to disable alarm. Just wondering if inside the ribbon cable they use same power feed. Or if there are two power feeds one for each. Anyone? Ta

My ribbon cable is damaged at the moment (interior lights don't work & get "safeguard" message) I think they are seperate power feeds because to start with my interior lights weren't working but the ultrasonics were fine. Now neither work, I need to replace roof loom. Expensive bit of wire.

Presumably if they accessed the car to cut the roof loom, it would set the alarm off and if they then snipped the roof loom, it wouldn't shut the alarm off, it would continue sounding.
