    Default Filter-Set for CD70 & Amp/Sub??

    Howdy (again!) Guys & Gals,

Before I swap out my CD70 for an aftermarket head unit I want to try using my Veccy's CD70 with my sub & amp.

My intention is to incorporate a high/low pass filter set into the HU's wiring - I know that I can tap straight into the relevant wiring but I would like to send everything below 125Hz to the sub & everything above to the OEM speakers.

I have a book of filter circuits but before I start forking out for components & inhaling lead fumes I would like to know if anyone else has done something similar?

Initially I did want to swap out the OEM HU for my Pioneer but I love the integation/hands-free/mp3 capability of the CD70 so thought I'd try that first.

If anyone has any pointers I would really appreciate it, and if all goes according to plan I shall try and prepare an how2 for the forum - it's about time I contributed!

Btw when it's sunny and I have cleaned her I shall post some pictures of my baby!

    Cheers for reading!

    Dan

I've not seen any mention for the CD70, however I am sure someone on either the Astra-H forum or the German Vectra-C club may be able to help

(It's a shame I never followed through learning German at school)

Sorry I can't help any further in this direction

    Thanks for that,

if I do go down the route of keeping the CD70 this would certainly be an option for the low pass bit, however I'd still need to build a high pass filter for the built-in speakers - of course the easier option would probably be to fit my Pioneer which already has the relevent filter sets built in .

    Cheers
