When replacing the rear brake pads is it necessary to remove the whole caliper housing or can the caliper be swiveled on one of the housing retaining bolts. Petrol 1.8 Vectra C 08 plate.
When screwing the cyling back is it CW or ACW?

Hi Larry
remove tension spring, rubber seal from guide pin's,remove guide pin's,remove brake calliper and outer pad from frame, remove inner pad from calliper, screw piston into housing CW.(don't let calliper hang on flexi brake hose,)I use long nosed pliers or cerclip pliers to screw in piston.it's an easy quick job.(you will have to ease guide pins out of calliper with a screw driver to clear frame for caliper removal
