Doesn't have to a little Vauxhall stamp, anyone can do it. If you self service, just keep all the receipts.

Id rather buy a car from someone who had actual physical receipts for oil, filters, etc etc etc, than buy something with pretty little stamps in the service book only to find that the 17 year old trainee at the stealers didn't actually do anything to the car and the oil hasn't been changed once its it's 6 year life.

that is true but i have no problem in serviceing the car myself but i would rather have taken it to a garage to get a proper stamp in my service book but as i said funds are very tight at the moment.
and this does not answer my question on if i can use the 0w-30 oil thanks anyway
