    Default DTUK CRD-T MultiChannel

    Anyone got one?

With a discount code (2010) they are £379 which I can't help but think is a good deal..

    Thoughts?

i have the box am i'm over the moon! the engine runs much smoother than on other boxes (i've tried a few) and it seems like it gives better performance too.

what i noticed when i was fitting this box is that it connects on 2 jacks instead of just one like all other boxes so i guess it does a bit more job.

anyway, i've been using it on map D (abyss) and 0% setting for over a year and no problems (knock wood) so far..

i'll hopefully make some RR tests soon so i'll post the results

My thoughts are thats a stupid amount of money for a box - only another £100 will get you a EDS map (which is awesome) and less than that can get you remaps from various places, one being Evolution Chips (£330) which I have always kept an eye on.

I had an EDS map in my GSI, loved it.. but didn't like the lack of flexibility... So I was figuring a box would be a better option - and by the looks of it you get a fair amount of tuning flexibility with this one which is why it seems attractive, plus I can always move it to another car in future / sell it on, which you can't do with an EDS remap.

Great to hear a good story about it.

I brought one and sold it a week later, More MPG my A**e....

May try one again in the future but when the TC is flashing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd already I don't think more tyre shredding power is needed.

I have got a 120 8v.....it got a dtuk eco 3 on it....The company is onlt 5 miles from me.....I went and he let me try this new box it also connects to the boost sensor..What i found was the car was more responsive, smoother.....but a hell of a lot quicker....yes as with all tuning products you will use more fuel...just have to try not to press the loud peddal too hard....lol..Wish i had the money cos i would be changing mine.....

there is a massive improvement over all other DTUK boxes (eco, red, green etc), so you cant really compare them. CRD-T is a completely new product and, as mentioned, it connects to the boost sensor as well. i wasn't aiming for MPG but performance and it does its job in that area perfectly.
i considered a remap but i went for this anyway as it was a completely new product and i didnt regret it, i drove a few remapped astra 1.9cdti's (they are lighter than the vec) and raced them and they aren't any faster than i am so...

Unless they're managed to change it the box will throw your computer out & your Vec will appear to be very economical, whereas in fact the mpg is just miles out
