Hi all,

Thought I would say a quick hello. I have recently bought a 2007 Signum CDTi 150 Design - going to the need the space soon for our new family member who will arriving in a few months! I also have an Astra-H SRi 150, and have been a member of the AstraOwnersNetwork forum for about 3 years. Slowly getting used to the differences between the two cars - especially how much quieter and smoother the Signum is to drive...

I used to be a Vx tech up until 2001 (just before the Vec-C was released). You'll probably find me lurking around the technical sections of the forum, helping out where I can....

Welcome !! Any pics ?? How did the astra compare, power wise ? Ive always considered the Vec/Sig 150 to be quite fruitfull but being as the Astra is smaller or lighter, what was it like ?

Will try and upload some pics - haven't taken any yet as I haven't had a chance to give the car a good polish.

The Astra is quite a different beast - as you say it is lighter, which makes the dash to 60 (and beyond!) noticeably quicker. The steering is a lot more direct, and the suspension a lot firmer (even though the Signum Design has sport suspension as well). Main problem with the Astra now, after driving the Signum, is the much louder road and engine noise, and the lack of toys, such as sat-nav. That said, it is fun to drive! Strangely, the Signum seems better on fuel than the Astra as well.
