Default Been to see Mondeo estates and....

I have to admit to being a tad fed up with squealing brakes, dmf rattles and tech2 only faults on my diesel estate.
So..we went to look at some Mondeo estates at a local car supermarket. The new shape is (just) within range now.
Tempting I have to say, but I actually prefer the Vectra and as a family car its hard to beat.
    Good mpg, comfortable and safe.
The Mondeo will loose a lot more money and the Vectra is bottoming out now.
So, I'll get the Vectra sorted and keep it.
sometimes you have to look at other cars to appreciate the car you already have..

I had the new mondeo as a hire car for 4 days about 3 months ago.
As nice as it was it just did not engage me. I could not fault it, but I did not enjoy it.

Too right, the veccy has faults but overall compares well to others.
I had a picasso as a taxi, great mpg, but didn't feel safe and so unrefined.
Now wish i had the economy though with the petrol price as it is.

ive owned 4 cars in 1 years

1st one was a mini cooper faults with clutch got rid of it
2nd one was a megane 1.5dci soon as i pulled away the engine mounts went so i traded that in for a picasso and had faults on that, so i made them give me a replacment car and i chose the vectra best car out the lot IMO

Yep, better the devil you know too.
Mine is off to the local EH VX dealer for a tech2 to sort the 'car&spanner' light issue.
Hopefully the dmf will rattle on for a while
    Cheers
    John
