    Default Colouring boot strip

Its been something I have wanted to do for a while but have never looked into it properly.

How does it come off and what is the best method for painting it? Obviously its going to be black but does it need 'roughed up' first and is there a certain primer needed?

There are a couple of nuts that hold it on at the back, also the clips keep it in.

In terms of painting...I might have one for that I could sell to you soon if you're willing to wait? (Painted black sapphire)

if you don't buy scott's then a rub down with 1000 grit wet n dry paper to give it a key - wipe clean - primer - dry - another more gentle rub down - wipe clean again - apply paint about 2-3 coats and let dry - laquer - dry - laquer - dry - polish up and re-fit....

****, I hate taking the boot lining off. Couldn't get it back on properly last time.

Rich, I'm doing mine at the mo, is it right that you need to 1200 grit wet&dry the final paint coat to make it matt before you laquer??

    Thx
