Default Interior Rear View Mirror Memory..WOW

    I'm sad but....

Only had my Siggy Elite for a week and just realised by mistake that the interior mirror is linked to the seat/exterior mirror memory and moves into position electrically.

I'm a total car nut and I love my gadgets (my other cars are a fully loaded 735i and an equally well specced SAAB 9-5 Aero - both have seat/mirror memory) but I have never ever seen a powered rear view mirror before. I think it's totally cool and was just wondering if others have realised the mirror actually moves when you hit the memory button?

    Do other cars have this?

My 96 Omega 3.0 V6 Elite had it, but I deiberately looked for a Vectra without such gadgetry when I changed. Fewer things to drain my wallet when they failed and let's face it... how often do you actually change the seat and interior mirror positions in your own car ?

Maybe it's a VX thing as I haven't seen it before and unlike you, I like my cars fully loaded. It's actually very useful if you have more than one driver of differing heights (as I do) as that normally requires the mirror to be adjusted.

Touching wood whilst I write this but I haven't had any problems with the gadgets on my cars over the years.

That's why I went for the Signum as the early Elites seem to be very well specced plus the rear seats are very flexible/comfy with the slide/recline.

Shame VX dropped the Siggy's std memory seats in mid-04 and replaced them with an antiquated CD based Sat Nav. I think the seats became a £1k option, which is probably why I couldn't find many later models with them fitted.

    Hi,
I try to retrofit interior mirror with memory function. I retrofit every wire form the mirror towards the REC, and form the REC towarc the driver seat module. But is doesn't work. Can you help me? I think it needs some TECH2 programming, but I can't find what and where to program this function in the menus? My car is 2007, facelift version.
