    Default complete difference

gave the car a service, put in new air filter, what a difference, i change this every year, below 2k revs car is much better. old one wasn't that bad thought i'd change it as a matter of course.

car was getting sluggish below 2k and i was thinking of doing the egr blanking, but delayed it as some people were having probs. since this new air filter has made it much better, what are peoples experience of a KN air filter? is this a better way of getting rid of below to 2k problem. I know this is when the egr is open and the s**t is going back in. does this get diluted more with better air flow??

Im not sure the air filter would be that bad after 12 months?, as ive run them in the cdti for 4yrs with no difference when changing!, I recently done a service on a citreon 1.9d 05 05rg van and the diesel filter was 5yrs old!,it had never been changed from new! the driver noticed NO! difference in performance or mpg!.

a lot depends on the quality of the filter, some cheaper filters use inferior paper in the make up,this can cut down air volume, always buy a good quality branded filter.
