Default Hey dudes....Get my badge OFF!

I'm a proud 2.2 sri owner on an 05 plate, joined the site a few months back and have been very unsociable by not saying hello!
So....... HELLO EVERYONE! Love the site and it's a one stop shop for all my veccy needs!
So a question for you..... Can i easily remove the daft 'DIRECT' logo from the rear of my car on the chrome strip? Or will it leave holes?
I'd like to put SRI there like it should have been in the first place......
    Any help woulod be appreciated,

    Cheers,

    Sparky.

I think they are held on by a sort of double sided tape, you could try some dental floss and pull it between the name and the chrome strip, I have not done this myself, but I am sure there are some members who have removed badges, you could even try a credit card, I dare say some one else will be along soon to put you right.... Ps welcome to the site, you will enjoy it here..

Hiya matey, welcome to the site.

Now about that badge removal. As has been discussed on many threads on this site the tried and tested way is,

pour some recently boiled water over the badge.
slide a credit card between the letters and the chrome strip
the badge/letters will then come off easily
any residue can then be removed with solvol autosol and a soft cloth.

I have removed all the badges on my SRi and many other cars in this manner and never had a drama. There will be no holes left once removed as the letters/badges are secured using 3m's.

    Hope that helps you out.

Hi m8 and to the site. I have used a hairdryer to get the badges really hot and then they come off really easy, then just a little polish.
