    Default Air con radiator

Today i noticed when i opened my bonnet whilst having a broken spring replaced that i have a damp patch on the passenger side of my air con radiator,it looks like a small stone passed through the slats on my irmy grille and hit the rad.Now the question is can i get the hole sealed up some how,or do i need it replaced?.if it`s the latter how much am i looking at?Cheers

I have this as well, AC condenser is fine but it was the intercooler behind it that has popped and made it look like the Condenser.

If you have a hole in the A/C system you will have lost the refrigerant gas and A/C shouldnt be getting very cold, need to replace the part and have the system leak tested and re gassed, leak test and regas should cost no more than £50,

Had you just washed the car? as I find when I wash mine I must spray water through the grill some how, and I some times find there is a damp patch in the bottom right corner. But the air con works ok.

I had just washed the car a few hours earlier, the air con rad was dry except for a small patch about 3/4 of the way up.Will this do any damage to the car if it`s not sorted soon, btw i never use the air con system.

You might not have a leaking "rad" it might just be water from washing the car. But if you do not use the air con, then the seals in the pump dry out and the gas then escapes, thus no air con. It is advised to use the air con at least once a month, to keep the pump and the rest of the system in working order.

Whilst mine is "climate control". I think you are correct in what you said. Press the air con button, then if the tempretue dil is put on cold it should make the car very cold after several miles. If it is working, I think you will notice the drop in tempreture.
