    Default No Fogs

Hi guys this is my first post on the forum

basically the first mod i wanna make is a set of front fogs, my car is a 2 litre TDI and its an LS and it is completly bog standard except for the sunglassers holder which i think was an optional extra.

so i have no front fogs.

what do i need to put a set in and to get them working

will there already be wiring n what not in place

    cheers mike

You can fit all the bits, but your still going to have to get it tech 2'd...

If you dont mind them running off a seperate switch you could just wire them up yourself.

they dont just tech 2 in, as i have had mine checked out and need to have the module for them which is the engine bay fuse box, which will need tech 2ing out and then back into the new car

It appears that Vx in their ultimate wisdom decided to fit some cars with Non-programmable UEC's (underhood electrical centre).

This means that you cannot add or change any functions on your car.
This includes most lighting functions like Day time running lights and fog lights.
My 2005 1.9CDTi Energy just happens to be one of those Non-programmable cars.

Either you can wire them in yourself - see the How 2 section. or you can go through the expense of getting a new UEC and allowing Vauxhall to do all the Tech 2 programming in and out of the necessary bits.

    Is it a Facelift LS????

Thought about a couple of years or so ago as our Facelift Club doesn't have fog lights either & there's not much information on here about lower spec Facelifts cars having fog lights fitted to the standard non sport front bumpers...

Plenty of information about the higher spec Facelift cars with the Sport front bumpers.. Exclusive, SRI, Design, Elite etc...

Conclusion seems to be change it for an SRI sport front bumper cos they come up for sale occasionally...

So far I've decided to do without....

    Cheers
