diesel particulate filter (DPF) EURO 4

Can someone advise if my car has a DPF and tell me what's this EURO 4 I keep seeing on CDTI models?

Was the DPF fitted to later models?

I've a late 2006 Vectra 150 SRi (facelift model) - It's had EGR and manifold done recently but now wondering if DPF needs cleaned or attention?!

I'm thinking of getting a Zafira but the DPF stories are putting me off as it's mega money (about £1300) to replace!!

any advise much appreciated!

As someone said in another thread open your door and on the door plate that displays axle weights and paint code, there will be a number in a box:

0.5 - You have a DPF
1.20 - You dont have a DPF.

Its 0.50 thats on the label

1.20 on mines , but it think it is swings and roundabouts as some in 05 do and some dont dont know really.

all good...but if I did have the DPF I'm guessing my tax band would be lower due to the lower emissions, so swings & roundabous I suppose...but happy I havent got one, one less thing to worry about!

The dpf wont affect tax bands as tax bands only take into account CO2 emmissions and DPF's dont do anything to reduce them as they are for getting rid of the particulates in the exhausts gases which deisels produce alot of.

The overall effect is they reduce the smoking of deisels or otherwise reduce it.

All Signum deisels and Vec C deisel estates and Deisel Auto's on Vec C + 3.0 cdti all have a DPF but the old 2.0dti and 2.2dti dont. Mine is a 56 plate 1.9cdti 150 Auto Hatch and it has a DPF.

Sorry bit I think you are wrong on this as my Tax Band is higher than the same model with a manual transmission is as Automatics use more fuel
