belt or chain

hi guys got a 04 plate 2.2 direct petrol sri just wonderin if its got a cam belt or chain as i have just reached 40 k and if its a cam belt i would be thinkin about replacin it , many thanks

Only the original non-direct 2.2's had the issue with the chains. The lubrication nozzle would get clogged up by the paper oil filter and lead to failure, but this is not an issue for the newer Direct.

In theory the chain should last the life of the engine mate, however I know some people look at getting it changed at around 100K just for piece of mind...
