Ouch...looks painful, should do a good job at the body shop though. A friend of mine had part of the roof of his house fall on his car..by the time it was repaired it looked better than it did before the accident happend. Hope it all gets sorted for you mate!

thanks for replies, the body shop said the engineer qouted 10 full working days, plus body panels cost and paint job. i think it is going to cost a fair packet , i thought they might have classed it as beyond economical repair considering the hourly labour charges, my veccy is a july 07 model.

well considering the damage you've been lucky. Quite a bit of money's worth of repair there, just lucky he admitted liability otherwise could've taken alot longer!

What do you guys mean by "oh, at least he admitted it"? What if he didn't admitted it? Wasn't his fault anymore or what?!

If he didn't admit he was at fault, the whole situation would take alot longer to sort out and the outcome may not have been so good for buffallobill. It would've been down to the insurance companies to decide who was at fault and his car could've been written off if the other guy wasn't found to have caused the accident...if you want me to justify anything else I say, just let me know

No, I understand. It's the same here in Romania, but it's not that critical. What I mean is, in situations like these, it's obvious who's to blame and not admitting being your fault in an accident like this shouldn't have so much impact on the final conclusion.

Thats fine mate, I was in an accident where someone hit the rear end of my old car whilst I was stationary on a roundabout. He refused to admit it was his fault and it took nearly a year for the insurance companies to come to any conclusion. He was found guilty in the end (even though it was obvious it was his fault), but it still took all that time to sort out, could've taken this guy alot longer to get his car fixed had the other bloke not admitted he was to blame.
