Default ABS Sensor Plug does not fit/work

Hi, I ordered a front wheel bearing from a company.. I provided them with my reg and they sent out the correct bearing (they said I need the one with IDS) * Interactive Driving System.. Anyway.. I replaced the bearing and got around to plugging it up.. until I noticed the new plug did not fit! It would only go in 3/4 of the way... I experimented by trying to turn the ignition on with it in 3/4.. The ABS light still showed. I then placed the original back in and the ABS light went out..

I then sourced a second hand connector (car end) and cut the black plastic locator down a bit. The new plug then sat in nicely.. but still.. an ABS light, yet when I place the original back in, the light goes out!

Have they giving me the wrong part..? The amount of time I spent in replacing the part was silly.. as the bearing was seized inside the knuckle.. I'd be really peeved off if I have to go through this again.

    Thanks.

Do you have ids? Do you have the sport button on the dash?

Hmm, No, there is no Sport button on the dash. Does this mean the car does not have IDS? I gave them my registration and they worked out which model I needed.. ugh..

I like the idea of swapping that sensor parts around.. I may try that!

    Cheers guys.
