Nobody has found a way to disable it other than as an extra feature on the Regal remap - try the Fiat gasket mod

No but you can partially blank it off using the modified Fiat gasket, it has 4 small holes in it as opposed to one huge square hole

It shouldn't make any difference to the dpf & will just reduce the amount of dirty exhaust gases going through the egr & inlet manifold

The Fiat Part No is:- 55225287

You can blank it off altogether but you will get the engine light on and that's all!. No limp home mode, no problems whatsoever actually.

I did mine about 1100 miles ago and the car runs great, turbo spools quicker and the car pulls much better from low revs, fuel economy unchanged, maybe a tiny bit better, but I now get no soot in the inlet manifold which can only be a good thing.

The error code is 0400 EGR gas flow. I still check regularly if there is anything else logged, but no nothing more.

Since the EML is in the bottom right corner of the dash, it's hardly noticeable so if you can live with a small yellow light on the dash, then go for it and blank the egr off altogether.

Just a quick update, it is now over a month since the previous post and about 3000 miles since I blanked my EGR off all together.

The car runs perfectly, pulls well, no flat spots, economy is well, currently 50.5 mpg from a remmaped 1.9 that goes like stink, so no problems there, starts fine, idles fine, no problems or glitches whatsoever, just the little yellow engine symbol due to fault code P0400 EGR gas flow which does not cause any sort of limp home mode.

So if you don't mind a little yellow light, then blank it off altogether and never suffer sooted up swirl valves.
