M6 Toll last Saturday afternoon

I was on the M6 Toll last Saturday during the England Game .... It was really empty.

I don't think there are any speed cameras on the M6 Toll.

most drivers were bombing along at 90 mph+ , the weather was clear and the read was empty.

Has anyone else experienced the M6 Toll for driving?

I suppose they do have police cars etc... monitoring the speeds ... maybe unlikely during the England v Portugal game though?

M6 Toll is quiet even at busy times.

Makes driving to the South with trailer a lot less tiring.

Tend to cruise down the toll at 80 ish if not towing. Usually get passed by everything.

Police are PAID to patrol the toll road by the M6toll company...

The police do regular camera sessions. I've seen them regularly around the 1st corner after you hit the toll going south, just after the 1st bridge. They have got you with the laser before you see them..............thanks.

The marked and unmarked cars don't like you going more than 90mph.

I used this for the first time on my way to PVS and its the best 3.50 i have ever spent

No comment on the speed but i was basically the only car for miles

I use it now and again with work as they pay the toll fees. It is always empty whereas the M6 is blocked solid. If they reduced the toll fee it would get used a bit more and the M6 would not be so congested
Not seen any camera vans but have spotted the odd "plain clothes" patrol car.

If you are going to get caught ... suppose yu are more likely to get pulled by a marked or unmarked car on the M6 Toll as I don't think they have fixed cameras


It was a nice pleasant drive ..... and the M6 was grid locked

Saw A thing the other day about a Nissan Skyline GTR doing 180MPH on it and a well know boy racer mag being there to take photos........
