just had my vectra in to get the handbrake recall done, they did a visual inspection aswell, they said the eml light was on on startup, it was already there but just wandering what EML stands for?

Did they not check it with a Tech2 (vx fault code reader)
no they just told me about it, :s its the light in the display with a car n spanner through it and only comes on when you turn the ignition on but goes off when u start the car.
what could it be?
Needs to be code read I'm afraid.
Its a stored but not active fault code.
oh right thanks, any1 know of a code reader i can buy that will work? 2003 3.2 v6

Take the battery off for half hour or so to reset - make sure you have any radio code you may need first.
just done that and its back to normalthanks alot
