Default Help, my rear washer isn't working

I've just taken a trip to shop, and tried to clear my rear window, but the washer doesn't work. I refilled the tank thinking it had run out, but the front work fine, but back doesn't work. I've seen on forum that it can come disconnected near the back of roof, but I haven't seen any waterfalls down back window or rain clouds inside. Hope I don't too, cos I held it on for a good minute to see if it was blocked..

Any ideas what it could be? How what I could check. Its not under warranty anymore, so don't want to take it to garage if I don't have to. Thankfully the weather is nice so far so I'm not desparate for it.

I've just checked, and yes the pump seems to be working, there is a mechantical noise for a few seconds before the wiper starts.

I've had my suspicions it may be getting blocked, as it hasn't been squirting out strong enough, its more of a fast trickle.

What do I do if the rear washer is blocked?

There is no water is boot, roof or windows, so it's not leaking, there is fluid in there, the pump is working, and the front ones work fine, just the rear ones don't.

The normal way to rectify this fault is to diconnect the pipe from the washer jet, remove the lid from the washer bottle and then force air throught he pipe with an air line. For the jet its self poke a pin through it in the direction of the water flow. Hope that helps you out.

Right, I've had a go with a needle in the end of the jet spout, but still not working.

How would I go about checking anywhere else?

Could I use something like a sink or plughole unblocker? or is that just stupid?

Where would i need to dismantle to find the blockage?

I had this problem the other morning - I think the water was frozen in the hose. The front washer would work but not the back one...

Well I know it hasn't frozen as its 29'C
I'm thinking it may have dried up somewhere or it may have disconnected? I've checked the connection at the back, and no water around inside roof behind lining.

I saw one on forum about front ones not working and it was gunk in the tank, or a washer or something, and they cleaned it. Would this help? and where would I clean? The 'thread' said it was under one of the wheel arches, but all i can see is the suspension springs?

The washer bottle is located in the passenger side wing behind the bumper might be best if you jack the car up and see if you can get the pump out of the bottle to clean it there are two pumps one for the front and one for the back i dont know which one is which so i think trial and error is the best solution

Pull the pump out of the bottle and remove the sealing black rubber.. this is a seal and stainer combined.. i'd lay good money on this strainer being blocked..rinse it out under a tap and re-install it.. should work then
