Default Is it worth spending money on??

I went down to Longlife exhausts earlier today and asked if they build from the exhaust manifold and how much an exhaust system would cost. I got told that a new downpipe from the turbo to the cat would cost £120. Is that a good price and would I actually see any benefit from it? The rest of the system (cat back without back boxes, exit either side) would cost £459.
