    Default Roof Mounted DVD hatchback

Anyone fitted one to a facelift hatchback? which one did you buy? what does the colour match like? was it easy to fit? and how much????

I have been looking at headrest dvds, but I dont like the size of them or the colours they come in. 5.8" screens in original headrests would be OK but I cant find a suitable place to put DVD player

    Cheers
    Lee

They are rather rare now but someone might be able to suggest if / where they can be obtained.

any suggestions of other ones? I have seen a VEBA unit on ebay for £140 and it looks good but the joker company selling them reckons he has no fitting instructions and reccomends that you dont fit it yourself cause you could damage the head lining?????

I just have an ebay one. It attaches to the roof by sandwiching the roof lining in between the screen housing and a metal plate with the screws and wires going through the lining. Just measure 15 times and cut once LOL.

God knows mate, it was second hand, its light grey so matches the SRi cloth. I bid low and got it for about £30. The roof holds the weight fine as the pretty light. If you keep to a reasonable screen like 7-8 inch then when the screens down you can still use the rear view mirror. I have a separate DVD player which went in the cubby in front of the ashtray but its getting moved to the glove box. My only preference for my search was that it supported wireless headphones, there a standard frequency so then just bought a new set for £10.
