Default VECTRA ELITE V6 CDTi Engine Shudder

I would welcome any advice re: 3.0V6 CDTi with 30,000 miles. 55 Plate. Between 1400 and 2000 revs in any gear the engine feels as if is is missing it gives the effect of driving over cobbles. I have had the car 2 months it has spent 6 days in VX dealers they say they cannot find anything wrong and suggest I change my driving style to avoid that rev band. No codes showing up and after talking to VX they say it may be a characteristic of the vehicle. They have updated software on EMS and replaced a sensor which produced small improvement for a short time but now as bad as ever. I have a three year dealeship warranty but that is not much good if they say there is nothing wrong. HELP!!!!!!

Another useless VX dealership, with little or no experience of the Y30DT

Go back and advise them it may be a blocked SCV

Interesting they only updated the EMS
There is an update included in the Field Remedy, it takes about an hour, but if the SCV is blocked the EMS will return a fault code rather than nothing at all!
That is assuming they have actually performed the full update and not just the nose wiping one

Also can you find out what sensor they replaced

Is the car under warranty, or are you paying for all this yourself?

Thanks m8internet The car is covered by a Bristol Street Motors 3 year warranty. Didn't quite understand your comment "Interesting they only updated the EMS
There is an update included in the Field Remedy" what other updates are available then?

There is an update specific to the Y30DT, I have had that done to mine and it takes about an hour, ordered as part of the Field Remedy
Prior to the update, the EMS cannot understand the fault code from the high pressure fuel pump, so does nothing with it until the problem gets extremely bad, but by then the car is almost undriveable!

There is a general EMS update also available, and most dealership hold this, but it does NOT include the above update

The field remedy for SCV replacement is 1957 and it includes the EMS update. Try to ask for the EMS update only.

After hours of studying various comments on the Forum, I have now carried out the pedal test. I am getting code 0460. Does this make sense to anyone with the symtoms that my car is showing?

    Many Thanks

That's typical of them isn't it! When they know for a fact that if it were their own car they would want something done about it! One of the nice things about owning the V6 is its willingness to pull smoothly from just below 1500 rpm, even in top gear.
