    Question 2.2 16V petrol remap

hi all this is my first post on here and i think i've got it in the right place.
I've got a 2004 2.2 16v petrol sri and i've been looking for a company who will remap it for me but im not having much luck.
I've de restricted the airbox, got a k&n filter and theres a s/s sports exhaust on its way to me but i need more power.
I've just recently traded in my 2.5 v6 vectra b for this one but the power difference is very noticable so i really need to increase it and i think that a remap is the only way to go but nobody seems to do one for this car.
    anyone got any ideas?
thanks in advance for any replies

You can Map them but your not really going to see much difference on a graph, maybe 10bhp at the very most, so 155 tops on an SE or 165 on a YH. What you will get though is better power through the range and a smoother power band, so yes you will notice the difference and it will be more pleasing to drive. There not cheep though for what you get, Courtenay sport and TMS both do tuning programs on the 2.2 SE as they both pushed VX220 development. The SE is more flexible for tuning over the YH, just because its a slightly simpler engine and had many more years out there for products. But my honest opinion is don't go spending big bucks because your going to get very little gains.
