    Default Mot fail...

    after waiting until yesterday to get my windsceen replaced, took the car in for an mot. and it failed on nearside steering arm too much movement.. goona cost another £130 to get it fixed on friday.

    I take it you mean tie rod, bolted to steering rack, sounds pricey, they are only about 25 quid genuine and about 20 mins to fit.

    ooouch.. hate to think what mine is gonna fail on.. have so much work going on with it over the next 6 weeks..

    it says 'nearside steering arm has relative movement in its fixings' the guy said the bearing knuckle has too much movement where it goes to the steering rack. said he's doing the tracking too aswell.

    yes i agreed for the garage to do the work
