Central Door Locking not working after disconnecting battery

I need some help please

Today I was installing a new radio to my Signum and in the process I had to disconnect battery for about 1 hour. After about 1/2 an hour of messing with the radio I had to call it a day.
I went to lock the doors with the remote and the locks would go down on the doors, then up again and the doors would not lock.
There are no lights on the dash board.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Mine does exactly that if the drivers door is not shut fully so I would check that first, easy way is to turn on the ignition and see if you get a red door open picture in the tacho window

SJ, thanks for that, I went outside to check for lights on the dash. I uUnlocked the car (had locked it manually) and then tried to lock it and all is OK.
I wonder if I had not shut my door properly when I finished earlier, now do I feel stupid

Not half as stupid as I felt after spending two hours scratching my head over why my son's MX5 wouldn't start only to have pointed out that i had previously pulled the fuse for the fuel pump !
