    Default clutch help required

was out yesterday and when i parked the car in the driveway i smelt the burning clutch smell, i jacked it up and checked all the brakes first but they were fine and i hadnt been driving it hard, had car out again today and burning smell is back although there is no shudders and the clutch isnt slipping any ideas???

phoned local garage for a quote and they said £450 fitted and they will weld the dmf so its like a normal flywheel???

Weld the dmf up !!!!! thats a right bodge, how on earth are they going to balance it after, or did they not offer that.plus the dmf although a pain is intended to absorb shock loads from the engine, to protect the gearbox, so get it welded up at your peril , or get it welded and sell the car straight away.
    Cheers Ian
