SRI ride height ??

Just bought my 2.2 sri (2003 pre face) and i noticed the rear springs were different, looks like one was orignal and one was a aftermarket one.

I have said to the place i bought it from and to my amazment they are going to replace the springs.

My question is with all genuine GM SRI lowered springs what is the ride height surposed to be?

cool. ive just contacet the garage to let them know and they will be coming back to me with what springs they will fit.

I dont think they will be genuine GM ones but from what ive read that might be a good thing..


i Like the Duke i remember seeing them whizz round the tracks in the BSB rounds. just reinsuring the mille at the moment....... winter seems to have lasted ages!

I believe it should be 330 to 334 mm, measured from the rear, for "sports suspension"

I dont think that that there are 'aftermarket' springs for the SRI - all the springs ive ever seen are for the standard (i.e. non SRI) models so wont be 15mm lower than std - I imagine thats your problem.

Also dont forget theat springs should be replaced in pairs across the axle (just incase only 1 has been done!)

I recently got a pair of front springs from Euro Car Parts for my 2.0T SRI, specified it was an SRI with lower than standard suspension when ordering, they reassured me the springs were correct for the car, fitted them and as i kind of expected they were not, car sat too high, Euro then confirmed that they do not suppy springs for Vec's with lowered suspension.

this listing has ended but it clearly says for the lowered chassis.

Just spoken to the garage fitting the pair of springs, they are going to order both sets they have avalible, standard chassis and lowered chassis.

This way the should be able to make a good estimate on what pair will match the SRI ride hieght.
