Just to update got a brand new egr and the car doesnt seem to be any different
Syptoms: 1) Large cloud of diesel smoke and rough idle from cold starts, any time of year regardless of outside temperature.
2) Missfire noticible when engine is under some strain eg. uphill at approx 1800 rpm and on light throttle.
3) Lack of power below 2000rpm noticible when pulling out of road ends etc. have to slip the clutch to get it to go!
4) Smoke visible in rear view mirror at night when putting the boot down
Parts replaced so far:
- New inlet manifold approx a year ago, swirl flaps operating and linkage fine
- 3rd injector wiring plug has been changed by previous owner connections seem fine and had cable tie round just to be sure
- New egr valve just fitted with fiat square type gasket and no e.m light showing
- New glow plugs
- New air filter
Anyone any ideas? At this stage im thinking vacum pipe, small split in intercooler pipe, or injectors with poor spray pattern??
