really loud droning at 50mph

Hi guys getting a loud droning noise from the vec sounds like it's coming from the front at around 50 ish mph under 50 and over 50 sounds ok.Did swap the front wheels with the back but still the same....any ideas plz...mot next month(damn car)lol cheers guys

Wheel bearing 90% sure

I have the same issue mate except nearside rear, putting it down to a wheel bearing, as i have had the same tyres on for a year now and no noise 6 months ago , again my MOT is April

One good thing is the bearings are pretty easy to change

what sort of a price am I looking at to do this as a diy jobbie just been to kwick rip and they want £259, what tools needed are ect... is there a how 2 somewhere...thanks

I got my previous one for £65 from ebay,
Hardest part is getting the drive shaft out, but its simple enough to do

Hardest bit for me was getting the hub assembly out, the abs ring was locked into the hub carrier with corrosion
