    Default Insurance Quotes

I've been sorting my insurance for the Vec for the last few days and the range of prices is amazing
Been quoted as low as £212 to well over £400
Just got off the phone with good old Adrian Flux with a quote of £292 all mods declared including Protected no claims (you could do with that Duncan ) loan car and Legal protection
Unlike the others who will only repair back to standard in the event of an accident, AF replace all mods too

Well impressed. One thing they did say as well is that some car clubs are recognised by their insurers and give up to 15% discount. Might be time for a bit of negotiating there Admin

Direct Line have told me the same. e.g. my Irmscher suspension kit will be replaced under this claim as it was declared to them.

I did look at Adrian Flux last year and they came back with stupid money figure as I wanted business use covered - and it's not normally the sort of request for cover they get!

I remember you posting in another thread that you were with AF and had business use, and I mentioned what I said above Adrian Flux. You were going to go and double check. I was going to find that thread and ask you if you'd checked - but you've saved me the bother.

They quoted me something like £1000 - and that was last year before any accidents and with 9 years NCD - and I don't live in a 'dodgy' postcode area! Very odd.

As I've only just renewed with Direct Line I'll have to see what they say next year. I didn't even ring them this year based on what they said last year. But with what's happened this year I don't know if DL will bump up my premium. Ah well, don't have to worry about it until May next year!

I'm waiting for my renewal to come through from Tesco.

Its cost me an extra £20 per month just to insure it for the two remaining months i had left.

    Should be interesting!

AF does something right, been around forever specialising in custom cars, I think for a wee add on the site in exchange for a member discount it's worth talking to someone, and dont forget the exposure for the site in AF adds as well.
