It shldnt really matter if its deep enough because if you look at pimms exhausts they are a bit lower than the valance. I would say your biggests worry should be - are the cut outs wide enough & in the correct place for your exhaust.

can i just add that i,m sorry if i pi$$ anyone off with all the questions etc, but i,m keen as mustard with all this modding lark and dont want to buy bits to find they wont fit, and no matter how much you look at photo,s you still need to pester people to find out about things
