    Default Parking on Bridges??

I'm pretty sure that someone posted on here asking about parking on bridges and they may be in trouble with the boys in blue. Anyway the reason i post is there was a butty van parked on a bridge over the A46 (if memory serves me) called 'The Bridge Butty Van' and as the name suggests it was parked up on a bridge!!! So if they can run a business on the bridge surely you can park on one??

I often see cars parked on bridges, over the M23 heading into Croydon springs to mind

....Providing there is no parking regulations (yellow lines etc) and the parked vehicle does not cause any obstruction then I don't think theres an issue at all, Waterloo bridge in Central London turns into a giant carpark on weekday evenings/weekend - well it did....before the roadworks began

.....hmm if it's over a motorway though and directly links to a motorway and you havn't passed a "End of motorway regulations" sign then maybe m'way rules still apply IE No stopping unless in an emergency.
