    Default Insignia VXR Brembo Brakes

    OK, priced them up.

Brembo complete caliper and pad kit is £141.00 Plus VAT each.

So very reasonable. The discs are............................................... .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...........................

£598 Each + VAT! Then you have the dust guards which I didn't price up.

I tell you what, it makes the prospect of owning an Insignia VXR very daunting indeed.

Bit like our Insignia diesel which wrecked a 20" wheel on a pothole last week, comes to a tad over £700 for a wheel and tyre (tyre along was over £350)

How can they justify that? Based on your bumper thread, that makes about £7k of the selling price for front bumper and discs / pads / calipers?!

Yep! I can only imagine there would be some sort of special pricing for owners to buy parts just like they do with M3's M5's etc.

You could probably have the likes of Godspeed make a set of two piece discs up for that price.

    Calipers are reasonable, though.

Thats rediculous. My front Brembo discs are only £500 each with the bells.

TBH, the price of those bumpers isn't really a factor as A.) I hardly ever crash and B.) If I did, I would expect the insurance company to fork out.

£1000+ for a set of front discs and pads is a bit scary, though.

Anyone know if the VXR brembo brake system would fit the Insignia SRI? Matt, I know you had the price quoted, but did they confirm if they would fit?

Yeah, they will fit, there is a few guys in Germany with VXR Brembo's on their 2.0 Turbo's.

Personally, I am going to wait a while as I am sure there will be aftermarket VXR discs on offer within the next 12 months, then just buy the calipers from Vauxhall.
