On some car,s with air con, they leave a puddle of water[like they have wet themselves] when they are parked. I have noticed that the Vectra doe,s not do that[well trained not to wet it,s self in public], but where doe,s the water go that form,s on the condenser ???.

Yep, mine leaves a puddle if the air-con is on when the car is sat stationery - so the car definitely wees itself. My car also sh*t itself last Saturday when it rounded a corner to find a stationery Porsche!!

If yours definitely isn't venting the water to the outside (maybe just double check and leave the engine running for a bit with the AC on) then it sounds like the little pipe may be blocked up? Look under your car towards the rear of the engine, you should see a little rubber pipe sticking down and it should be dripping water out.

Cheers Duncan.. I bet the car was not the only one to 5hit it,s self at the sight of that porsche, do they drip a lot of water, or do you need to have been on a long run to notice the water, I will look for the rubber pipe and see if it is blocked..

lol -well the owner didn't really have time to sh*t himself, or even clench his buttocks. He was busy taking avoiding action and lucky he did, otherwise it'd have been a definite written off Signum and probably Porsche!

Anyway, getting back.... yes, the pipe will start to drip water fairly quickly once your AC is going. You'll only need to leave your car running for a few minutes to start to see water coming out. The hotter/more humid the day, the harder the AC will be working and the sooner you'll see the water.

I will have to have a good look as i have never seen any water under the car yet, even when the car has had a good run with the air con on................maybe it fills the washer bottle up, as a mate at work joked..

I see it all the time with domestic air conditioners, but I've never really thought about it for automotive air conditioning... I'll have to check mine out...

I'm speaking from DB7 experience here but it does sound like your drain pipes could be blocked. On the DB7 this spills water onto your feet when you corner.

The pipes are small and get blocked with debris from the road. Only five minutes on a ramp to unblock them so see if thats the problem.

Mine pours out every time I start the car after the AC has been running, I even took it back to the dealer as I thought I had some sort of a water leak, see thread here iIcreated at the time http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=9659
