Default New Discs and Pads... Been emotional!

Just wondered if anyone has been having fun tinkering with their cars in the poor weather we have had so far this year?

Just spent a couple hours figuring out how to fit new Rear discs and pads in a mini storm.. Absolutely pee'd it down lol. And... as I didnt have the Caliper rewind tool I had to do it all by hand with some snipe nose pliers Big awwwwww please!

Fronts are getting done tomorrow and hoping the weather is better (again it is listed as 'slight' chance of showers lol!)

I just want ONE nice day to wash and wax the Sig or I am going to go crazy!!!

    Awwwww.

As far as I can make out, the rears take longer than the fronts because of the 'rewinding' as opposed to the conventional pushing on the fronts.

Good luck, I am wanting to do some tinkering on mine too but its bitterly cold. Sunny and dry but it feels like its minus eleventy million outside!

Gearbox fluid change on Monday if I can get the in/out screws out..again ****ed..thats gonna be fun.

the calipers only take two minutes to push back with needle-nose pliers and it saves you wasting £35 on a rewind tool. so no awww from me :P

I changed my rear pads yesterday too.

Usually I use Mintex, but the pack they had appeared to be different to the previous 2 changes I have done using parts from the same place and using Mintex. The clips that hold the inboard pad to the piston were not present and the new ones also had an additional spring on the top of the out board one.

To cut a long story short they sold me EPC Red Stuffs for the same price of £17.45 inc VAT. Rewinding the caliper isn't difficult and the tool certainly isn't neccessary.
