    Default 3.2 gsi Vec...

I've just taken one out for a test drive.

its quick without feeling quick, very smooth power - I suppose its due to the V6.

the garage want £1000 plus my car, they are also allowing me to keep my 18" alloys.

the 3.2 vec is older than mine but has done less miles. its only got 41k.

the wife doesn't know I went to see it, so I dont think she'll be that happy.

I would say though, that considering its got 55bhp more than my 2.2 direct, it didn't feel hugely quicker.

    it was quicker though..........

    my car is a 2.2direct, 53k, 314mm brakes, -30mm springs - 2005.

They are nice motors with a good engine. I think you might be supprised when you take your wife out for a "test drive" in it. Mine chose my 3.2 over a 2.2 Signum.

The speed is all to do with power to weight. The GSi, (CDXi) is a pretty heavy car. Even if the engine is powerful.

    rolleyes

Depends on how its been driven prior to you driving it....if it was driven like miss daisey before hand they can feel a little (dare i say) sluggish due to being in 'Economy' mode...but there not. Drive them 'Sporty' for a few miles and you soon get better throttle response and quicker pick up. I have this in my 3.2 Elite after the missus potters about in it

If you were to buy and give it a good drive without a salesman beside you, you would quite surprised at how much quicker it actually is.
