    Look online for the correct connectors , for steering wheel etc. I bought all mine from Sextons direct, they were the cheapest as well.

    I had to wire a switched live in by tapping into the cig lighter. The radio would be on all the time otherwise.

    This is what i'm thinking i might need to do, thought it was suppoed to be a simple swap over

    Any more details bearing in mind i'm a novice at this sort of thing?

    dunno if ya trying to connect the steering wheel controls too? there`s some messing to do with them sometimes as well,check ice mod section i know someones covered the control leads

    Did originally want steering wheel control (and bought the leads) but not bothered anymore just want it to work normally wasted hours trying to work it all out

    never seen one do this,mine will come on as long as the ignition is on,as in electrics on,(engine not running) dunno about steering wheel controls cos i didn`t bother cos mines all touch screen.

    Thats all i want mate, to be able to listen to the stereo without having the engine running! didn't realise i was gonna have to wire from the cig lighter into the stereo

    Mine does the same - ignition on radio on - ignition off radio off - I'd like mine to work as jrh1 - keys in the ignition but ignition off - radio on; remove the keys & the radio goes off as it does with the OE radio

    The problem I had first of all is that the radio was live all the time. Despite what people were saying on here I could not find a switched live on the existing car loom.

    I wanted the radio to turn off when I turn the ignition off, so I wired a switched live from the cig lighter.

    The radio now comes on at II on the ignition.

    That's the same wire most people use for an ignition switched live
