Can I have that quote in writing please, also listing what new parts will be fitted
Also, check they are going to use the "correct" grade of oil

Mine's also due in April and my local vx dealer quoted £198 inc. so haggled with them a bit and got it down to £180 inc still a rip off really just to get a stamp in the ****** book, asked them what they're gonna do for the money and being the 6th year service (same as the 2 year one) their changing , oil and filter, keyfob battery, pollen filter and thorough check over the car (yeah right!!) and of course there will be the standard phone call from them included in the price , to tell me what else needs doing!! LOL dealers you gotta love 'em, mind you vx servicings are a lot cheaper than some other dealerships e.g Mercs, BMW, Honda etc!!

£185 all in for a 2 year service including parts and the 'correct' oil at Steve Curtis of Dalgety Bay.

Not great, but at least not as eye-watering as my 530D used to be .

And most importantly no followup telling me a long list of things needing done - Whew!.
