    Default twin exit exhaust

hello folks, i have a query for you guys, i'm looking to buy a second hand twin exit exhaust from a 2.2 direct to fit to my 1.8 sri 2006 reg, what i need to know is will this fit straight on (from the cat back) without any drama or is there any difference in the bore size etc, etc ... i know the hangars etc are already on my car for the twin exit and i also need to get the twin exit diffuser for the sri, but will it go on hassle free or is the anything that'll turn it into a headche, thanks for the help in advance

I am new to all this, but take a look at this. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
It might be the right part.
Was gonna go for it myself but need some other exhaust parts doing so gonna get a full system @ MIJ.
    Hope this helps

I have not seen a vec c exhaust looking like that before

I have just converted my 2.2 DTi to a twin exhaust. I bought a second hand twin system from a 2.2 petrol and it was a straight fit.Same bore etc.

    Hope that helps

It's not a Vec exhaust, its a signum exhaust, it won't fit a Vec

According to EPC that Y shaped exhaust rear end assembly would be the Vectra C Estate/Signum one (same item).

The listed mid-section pipe assembly for Z22YH engine is 24454037

The listed mid-section pipe assembly for Z18XE, Z18XEL engines is 24447474

Whether the 1.8 mid-section will physically fit to the 2.2 LH (24422146) & RH (13156933) rear sections, I can't tell you.
No LH + RH assemblies appear listed for 1.8 engines.

I'm getting the feeling you might be the person to find out if the 1.8 and 2.2 exhausts are in any way physically interchangeable. At least if you get the 2.2 system off you can then take measurements for bore diameter and parts lengths then compare them against the 1.8.
If you find they will swap, then you win. If you find they won't, then you have a 2.2 exhaust I'm sure someone will have off you for a decent price. Either way you win.
