    Default Tips for RR

My car will be going on the rolling road soon, do I need to know anything before it goes on, as I remember when I had my Astra 2.2 on the rollers I had to remove the traction fuse to get good results. Do I need to do the same on my Vectra 2.0 Turbo? Cheers

You could buy a switch and try it but if not you can over ride the t/c on a rolling road. You just have to keep pushing it and it will then disable its self. Make sure your tyre pressures and fluids are all in check and that there are no serious problems

Last time the we had rr day at dastek, we all dis-abled the traction control..

I always make sure my car had not long been serviced before a RR.. Take no chances like..

Ive got another RR day later this year but have no TC switch now so dont know? might just leave it?

Honestly you don't need to pull the fuse on the Vec C, I had mine r/r'd before I fitted the switch and the TC can be over ridden by just putting your foot down. Thats why so many members had the TC light constantly showing up in the snow as it eventually disables itself

Just keep the front wheels spinning and the light flashing, it'll give up and go off after around 30secs!!

At the mo I have a standard 1.9cdti and was wondering if a rolling road session is likely to cause any damage or require me to service it sooner. Just had full service of all fluids etc. Not sure if the cambelt has ever been changed. Should I change the cambelt first before attempting a rolling road session?
