light out somewhere by the sounds of it.
i tried fitting led side lights & the car picked them up as blown very annoying
Double check your brake lights, make sure that the same ones are lit both sides.
Check control can miraculously identify that a bulb is on it's way out...long before it actually fails.
Strange but true!
Could also be dodgey / dirty connection in the bulb holder.
My front side light keeps flashing up...the glass is quite blackened, but is still working at the moment!! but I know that this will go very soon, possibly at the MOT in 3 weeks...
I had a brake light go on my car, I checked and both lights were on at back, turns out my rear fog was acting as a brake light in the faulty bulbs absence. Changed the brake light and problem solved
Not quite. Your car has two tail lights per side. The upper of those tail lights is also the brake light. If the upper tail light fails, then the lower tail light takes over the role of tail/brake light.
The fog light doesn't serve any other purpose than being a fog light.
My mistake but you get the idea lol
Hi can anyone tell me if i will do any damage to my engine. Its a vectra 20l turbo petrol and the eml light is on, i took it to the dealer and they said its the cat. Only to find that this part nobody has one and they dont have any getting made, how on earth can this happen on a 2 and half year old car. So can anyone tell me if i will do any damage with the cat being broke and with me driving it. This is under warrenty and they say it could be months b4 i get a new one help please cheers
If it is a catalytic converter, then they should have these...even exhaust specialists should have these...
Manufacturers are obliged to maintain a "residual" stock for at least 5 years after production of any vehicle specification has stopped...so if your model of car 2 litre petrol was manufactured until say October 2008, then Vauxhall are obliged to supply parts until October 2013.
As for stock levels, these may get scarce if there is a sudden surge of cat failures, but as said above...Vauxhall are obliged to keep a residual stock available from their main stores for at least the next three years in your particular case.
Regarding damaging it....then no it shouldn't damage your engine, although fuelling mixture levels may be confusing the ECU.
